Set in a conducive, well-connected ambience, the polytechnic college has quenched the need for technical education in and around Thoothukudi District ever since its establishment in July 1963. The college has been functioning in its present premises from May 1967 and it celebrated its glorious past in the name of Golden Jubilee celebrations during the academic year 2013-2014.
